Crusaders Strikers are through to the Women's Irish Cup semi-finals after a 2-1 victory over Sion Swifts at Seaview. The Premiership side built a two-goal lead and held off a late fightback from the newly crowned Championship title winners to progress.

Ali Nelson put the Strikers ahead during the first half. Rebecca Bassett then doubled the advantage for the home side, giving them a commanding position.

Sion Swifts, who have already secured the Championship title, responded in the second period. Substitute Caoimhe Heron came off the bench to score and pull a goal back, setting up a tense finale. Crusaders managed the game well in the closing stages to secure the result and their place in the final four.

The draw for the semi-finals will now be made, with Glentoran, Cliftonville and Lisburn Ladies completing the lineup. Glentoran defeated rivals Linfield 2-1, with Naomi McLaughlin scoring twice, while holders Cliftonville eased past Derry City 3-0. Lisburn progressed with a 1-0 win over Ballymena United.

This cup run offers the Crusaders Strikers a chance to add silverware to their season. The semi-final ties are scheduled to be played in the coming weeks.
